Setting your office chair
Very easy with our 3-4 finger ergo rule. Between the underside of your desk and top of your knee it should be 3-4 fingers in width. Then from the front edge of your chair to inside knee the same applies 3-4 fingers in width. Now if your feet aren’t touching the ground a footrest would be highly recommended at this stage for correct seating position. Note your seat should be set parallel to the floor to set the above correctly.
Next sit with your back straight in the chair set backrest tilt. Place hands on keyboard and at this stage if all is correct your elbows should be slightly higher then your wrists when in the typing position.
Monitor setting is easy again simply measure the monitor top to bottom mark with a sticker or pen line 1/3 of this measurement down from the top of the screen. This mark should be your eye-line when in sitting position. If your eye line drops lower a height adjustable monitor stand would be recommended.
Fine tuning your posture consists of lifting the backrest to suit your back to lumbar and adjusting arm rests to gain a comfortable seating position.
